On November 27-28, the 2025 Greater Bay Area ASEAN Economic Cooperation (Qianhai) Forum with the theme of "Smart Connected Future, Industry Win Win" was grandly held at the Qianhai International Convention Center in Shenzhen. This forum is jointly hosted by the China ASEAN Center and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and organized by the Shenzhen Qianhai Management Bureau, Shenzhen University, and Guangdong High tech Industry Association. More than 1000 people attended the opening ceremony and related activities of the Forum, including Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the China ASEAN Center, Lin Zongying, State Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, Norman, Malaysian ambassador to China, Lei Zhen, Counsellor of the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Shourui, member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Qianhai Cooperation Zone, and director of the Qianhai Administration, Li Qingquan, member of the CAE Member, secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen University, officials of embassies and consulates of ASEAN countries such as Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and representatives from government departments, business associations, think tanks and entrepreneurs of China and ASEAN countries.
This forum is based on serving the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN, innovatively creating a "1+3+1" activity structure of "1 opening ceremony and main forum+3 special forums (artificial intelligence, international brands, think tank cooperation)+1 characteristic exhibition", constructing a full process loop of "opening guidance - diverse discussions - scene experience - business docking", and systematically promoting the deep docking between the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the region. During the forum, major platforms such as the "China ASEAN Emerging Industry Collaborative Innovation Demonstration Base" and the "AI STR (Artificial Intelligence Security, Trustworthiness, and Responsibility) International Open Laboratory" were launched, and landmark achievements such as the "2025 Greater Bay Area ASEAN Industry Cooperation Frontier Report" were released. More than 20 practical cooperation projects in fields such as artificial intelligence and biopharmaceuticals were signed, highlighting the strategic value of Qianhai as a "bridgehead" for China ASEAN cooperation and the best connection point for domestic and international dual circulation.
